Lots of news to discuss this weekend, with the elections in Iran and the debate over wheather it was stolen as some may say…the upcoming discussion over a possible overhaul of America’s health care system…the economy…this weekend will be filled with a wide variety of opinions, and this is who you can expect to hear from:
ABC NEWS / This Week with George Stephanopoulos:      Appearing to discuss a variety of issues including Iran, health care reform, financial regulation overhaul will be U.S. Senators Christopher Dodd (D – CT) and Lindsey Graham (R – SC).  Then, it’s the weekly roundtable featuring New York Times Executive Editor Bill Keller, former Labour Secretary Robert Reich, Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts of ABC News, and conservative columnist and author George Will of the Washington Post Writers Group.

CBS NEWS / Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer:  This week’s guest:  U.S. Senator and 2008 Republican presidential nominee John McCain (R – AZ). 

CABLE NEWS NETWORK / State of the Union with John King:   This week’s guest:  Health care reform and the internal situation in Iran will be the topics of discussion with U.S. Senators Dianne Feinstein (D – CA), Richard Lugar (R – IN), Bob Casey (D – PA), and Chuck Grassley (R – IA).  Also, Carter administration National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski will have the “Last Word” on the Middle East and Iran.  ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer will appear to talk about her network’s upcoming primetime health care special with President Obama, plus New York Times Executive Editor Bill Keller reflects on his reporting from Iran.

FOX NEWS / Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace:      How will the internal crisis in Tehran affect Iran’s nuclear programme?  On to debate that question will be U.S. Senator Evan Bayh (R – IN), Congressman Peter Hoekstra (R – MI), and Karim Sadjadpour of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.   That will be followed by an interview with Republican rising star Congressman Paul Ryan (R – WI) and a Father’s Day interview with U.S. Senator John McCain (R – AZ).  Then, it’s the regular Sunday panel of  Weekly Standard co-founder Bill Kristol, along with Juan Williams and Mara Liasson of National Public Radio.

NBC NEWS / Meet the Press with David Gre gory:   First, an update on the crisis in Iran from NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel and Tehran Bureau Chief Ali Arouzi, followed by a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  Then, former U.S. Senators Fred Thompson (R – TN) and San Nunn (D – GA) will appear to talk about security threats against the USA, the budget deficit, and health care reform.  Finally, it will be the roundtable featuring NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd and Nina Easton of Fortune magazine.

SYNDICATED / The Chris Matthews Show:   The topics:   How will this year’s health care reform debate be different from 1993?  And what will be the lasting impact of this past week’s election and resulting protests in Iran?   The panelists:  CNN Senior Political Analyst Gloria Borger, Washington Post Assistant Managing Editor Bob Woodward, Time columnist Joe Klein, and The Daily Beast Editor-In-Chief Tina Brown

WEDU-TV 3 / Florida This Week with Rob Lorei:    Florida This Week will not be seen this weekend.  In it’s place will be an interview Rob Lorei conducted with David Fanning, Executive Producer and founder of the PBS investigative series Frontline, when he visited the Tampa Bay area in April.
