This has been a week of loss. The deaths of longtime second banana Ed McManon, 70s beauty “Angel” Farrah Fawcett, and musical superstar Michael Jackson have brought people to asking themselves “What Next?”. Locally, we’ve also suffered the loss of a dear public servent in Phyllis Brunansky, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections. And now, we’ve lost Tampa resident and professional pitchman Billy Mays this morning.
Mr. Mays, who is best known for his infomercials promoting Oxyclean along with a number of other products, was discovered unresponsive by his wife in their Tampa condo this morning. He had returned yesterday from Philadelphia on a flight which caused concern when the plane blew out it’s nose tire on the runway at TIA. Thankfully, noone was injured other than bumps and bruises.
Add his families of those who lost their lives earlier in the week.
Bio: Robert is a former radio personality, which ended with five years at Winter Haven station WHNR where he eventually rose to become Assistant Operations Manager. For the past decade he has continued to make a living running his mouth, working in the call center industry. Currently he is working as a Customer Services Professional at a local facility representing one of North America's major heating & air conditioning sales and repair companies.
